The Alameda County Department of Environmental Health investigates housing complaints in Unincorporated areas of the Alameda County. In the cities all such complaints are handled by the respective building departments or housing departments.
Institutions (Detention Facilities)
Environmental Health conducts routine inspections of all County adult and juvenile detention facilities along with a Public Health Nurse, an Epidemiologist and a Public Health Nutritionist.
